Data Deletion Policy

  • General Statement

    HIRIDE TREK PRIVATE LIMITED (“Company”, “HiRide India”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) recognizes the rights of users and driver-partners (“you” or “your”) to request deletion of their personal data. This Data Deletion Policy sets out the terms governing the submission, verification, processing, and consequences of such requests, in accordance with applicable laws and internal compliance standards.

  • Scope of Application

    This Policy applies to all personal information collected, stored, processed, or maintained by the Company through the HiRide India mobile application and website (hirideindia.com). This includes, without limitation:

    • personal profile information such as name, contact details, email address, gender, and profile photograph;

    • driver verification data including driving licence, vehicle registration, and identity documents;

    • ride history, booking records, payment data, subscription details, and wallet information;

    • technical and usage data including device identifiers, IP addresses, and interaction logs;

    • location data necessary for providing ride services; and

    • communication logs, customer support records, and any other information voluntarily submitted by the user.

  • Submission of Data Deletion Requests

    Any user or driver-partner seeking deletion of their account and associated personal data shall submit a written request tosupport@hirideindia.com, clearly specifying:

    • the full name of the requester;

    • the registered mobile number and email address associated with the HiRide account; and

    • an express statement seeking deletion of the account and all personal data linked thereto.

  • Verification of Identity

    The Company shall verify the identity of the requester prior to initiating the deletion process. Verification may include OTP authentication, email confirmation, documentary proof, or other reasonable measures.

    The Company reserves the right to decline or delay processing of any deletion request that cannot be satisfactorily verified.

  • Acknowledgement and Processing Timeline

    Upon receipt of a valid and verifiable deletion request, the Company shall:

    • acknowledge such request within three (3) business days; and

    • process the deletion within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of verification.

    Where the request is complex or multiple requests are processed simultaneously, the Company may extend the timeline by an additional thirty (30) calendar days, with prior written intimation.

  • Consequences of Deletion

    Upon successful processing of the deletion request:

    • all personal information shall be permanently deleted, destroyed, or anonymized;

    • the requester’s account shall be permanently deactivated;

    • the deletion shall be irrevocable and non-recoverable; and

    • pending refunds, disputes, wallet balances, or unsettled transactions may be affected.

  • Exceptions to Deletion

    The Company may retain data to:

    • comply with applicable laws and audits;

    • preserve transaction and financial records;

    • prevent or investigate fraud or misconduct;

    • resolve disputes or enforce contracts; and

    • respond to court or law enforcement requirements.

    Any retained data shall be securely stored and used solely for the stated purposes.

  • Special Provisions for Driver-Partners

    Driver-partners must resolve all outstanding payments, penalties, disputes, or investigations before deletion. The Company may withhold deletion where matters remain pending.

  • Shared Data and Anonymization

    Personal identifiers will be deleted, while anonymized ride logs and analytics may be retained for legal or audit purposes.

  • Acceptance of Policy Terms

    By using the HiRide India platform, the user acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this Data Deletion Policy.
